Donald Trump’s latest photo for the front cover of time magazine According to a new report, it appears to reference a famous portrait of a convicted Nazi war criminal.

The image, released ahead of the publication of the print issue next week, shows the president leaning over the Resolute desk with folded hands, with two flags strung behind him. The caption reads, “Trump’s World.”

Social media users were quick to point out that the photo and its composition were reminiscent of Famous 1963 portrait of German industrialist Alfred Kruppfor which Arnold Newman took newsweek,

During World War II, Krupp ran a major arms manufacturing company for the Nazis and was later convicted as a war criminal for his company’s use of Jews, POWs, and others as slave labor. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison, but served only three years and was later pardoned.

In the psychologically charged image, which Neumann, who was Jewish, initially refused to take, Krupp is also seen leaning forward towards the camera, his fingers interlaced, against the backdrop of two pillars in his factory. The lighting is just like in a horror movie.

Time Photographer Stefan Voss was asked about the similarity after posting his work on Instagram. “Are you referring to Arnold Newman’s portrait of Krupp here?” One user wrote.

Voss liked this comment The Daily Beast, However later it appeared that he did not like it.

Independent Voss has been contacted for comment on whether he would like to note any similarities between his photo and Newman’s photo.

in a statement to diurnal animals, time magazine Said: “There is no connection and claims suggesting otherwise are completely false. The context of this photoshoot was previous portraits of the President in the Oval Office, including Time’s own covers. Fanning speculation on social media is reckless and contributes to the spread of misinformation.”

comes after this Time magazine owner marc benioffJoe, who is also the CEO of Salesforce, revealed his support for Trump, declaring that he “fully supports” the President’s suggestion that National Guard troops be sent to San Francisco.

Trump expressed anger on social media, saying, “Time magazine has written a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the worst picture ever.”

“They made my hair ‘disappear’, and then something appeared floating above my head that looked like a floating crown, but extremely small. Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from low angles, but this is a very bad picture, and worth freaking out. What are they doing, and why?”
