Health Secretary Wes Streeting said the seizure was a “victory” in the fight against criminals “who peddle dangerous and illegal weight loss vaccines to make a quick buck”.

“These unregulated products, manufactured without regard to safety or quality, pose a significant risk to unknowing consumers,” he said.

“My message is clear: do not buy weight loss medicines from unregulated sources. Talk to your GP, take the advice of the NHS, and do not line the pockets of criminals who do not care about your health.
