Angry father accused of threatening to shoot michigan According to officials, their child did not get time for breakfast after primary school.
Eastpointe Police Lt. Alexander Hollish said police received a call Wednesday afternoon from Pleasantview Elementary in Eastpointe about “an irate parent who was upset that their first grader did not have enough time for snack time.” WDIV Local 4,
Holish said the parent, identified as 43-year-old David Scott, Jr., made threats against the school, “specifically saying he would come back the next day and broadcast the place.”
Hollish said Scott made the threats in person at the time of dismissal at the school, “He was outside the front door with other kids, other people. Kids were walking to their cars with other parents, and their child was standing right next to them while he was cursing, cursing and making threats.”
Scott’s child was not separated, as Holish said no one had time for breakfast after recess that day.
“I think there was a previous teacher who allowed extra snack time, and a new teacher who didn’t allow it,” Hollish said.
Hollish said Scott was arrested using resources such as drone technology within two hours of making the threat. When investigators searched his home, they found several rounds of ammunition, fox 2 detroit The report was made citing officials.

Scott was arraigned Thursday on charges of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, knowingly threatening to commit an act of violence against a school, school personnel or students and disorderly conduct. He has been charged as a habitual offender for the fourth time.
He has pleaded not guilty. Information about Scott’s legal representation was not immediately available.
His bond was set at $150,000 and Scott was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation. If he is released from prison, he must wear a GPS ankle monitor and cannot consume non-prescription drugs and alcohol. Scott has also been banned from contacting the school.
The child’s mother, Tykecia Watkins, told the local ABC affiliate. WXYZ Her son has been coming home from school hungry for weeks, sometimes skipping lunch because of the loud noises.
“I mean yes, we get upset as parents and certain things could have been said, but I don’t believe that came out of his mouth,” Watkins, who was not present for the incident, said of the threats Scott is accused of making.
Hollish said these types of threats are “extremely serious… especially in this day and age, unfortunately, where school shootings are all too common.”

Holish said he had never seen a situation like this before.
“For parents who become so upset about not having extra time for breakfast…making threats against children, against school personnel, is unthinkable to me,” Hollish said.
“This type of threatening behavior is unacceptable. Eastpointe Community Schools takes all threats to our schools, our students and our staff incredibly seriously, and we will not tolerate this type of behavior in our schools,” Eastpointe Community Schools Superintendent Christina Gibson said in a statement Thursday.
“We are grateful for the quick response of the Eastpointe Police Department and the calmness and professionalism of our staff during the incident.”
