Faridabad, Oct 24 (IANS) The holy land of Haryana witnessed a historic and spiritual moment on Friday when the “Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra” carrying the holy Joda Sahib of Dasham Patshah Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur was given a grand welcome.
This unique confluence of faith, devotion and unity was visible in every corner of the city.
Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini participated in the welcome ceremony by inaugurating the “Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra” at Sri Guru Darbar Sahib Gurudwara located at NIT-5, Faridabad.
CM Saini also welcomed Union Minister Hardeep Puri, who was accompanying the yatra, on reaching Haryana.
He honored the Sant Sangat and Panj Pyaras (Five Beloveds) who welcomed the Yatra at Sri Guru Darbar Sahib Gurdwara by presenting them turbans. Before leaving the yatra, the Chief Minister bowed his head at the Gurudwara and listened to the prayers.
After this he had darshan of the holy Jora Sahib. Earlier, Haryana Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member Ravinder Singh Rana, Sri Guru Darbar Sahib Gurdwara chief Inder Jeet Singh and representatives of the Sikh community welcomed and felicitated the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Faridabad is the first stop of this great journey which started from Delhi and ends at Takht Shri Harmandir Patna Sahib in Bihar. This city, which is called the gateway to Delhi, has now been sanctified by the dust of the Guru’s feet.
“Any place touched by the sacred feet of the Guru becomes a pilgrimage site, and today, Faridabad has become a sacred site for millions of devotees.”
He expressed his gratitude to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the organizers of this pilgrimage for their efforts in organizing this spiritual journey.
CM Saini said that with the arrival of this holy Jora Sahib, the divine talent, sacrifice and devotion of Dashmesh Pita Guru Gobind Singh have come alive.
He said, “Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave his life in the struggle against Mughal oppression. To fight injustice, he transformed ordinary individuals into the Khalsa – a force dedicated to upholding righteousness and protecting the weak. This sacred Joda Sahib reminds us of his great vow, ‘Sawa Lakh Se Ek Ladaun, Tabe Gobind Singh Naam Kahoon’.”
