New Delhi, October 24 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the National Democratic Alliance will achieve a massive victory in the Bihar assembly elections.
PM Modi will launch BJP’s election campaign from Samastipur, the birthplace of Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, where he will pay tribute to the late leader.
In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi saluted Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur.
The Prime Minister shared that he would have the privilege of paying tribute to Karpoori Thakur.
Notably, it was the Modi government that posthumously awarded the Dalit leader the highest civilian honour, Bharat Ratna.
Karpoori Thakur, a prominent socialist leader and former Chief Minister of Bihar, is remembered for his dedication towards social justice and upliftment of marginalized communities.
Karpoori Thakur’s policies, including reservation for backward classes, have had a lasting impact on the state.
In his post, Prime Minister Modi shared that he will address two huge public rallies in the poll-bound state.
He further claimed that the enthusiasm of the people in Bihar shows that the BJP is heading towards a big victory in the elections. “The enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the people of Bihar shows that BJP-NDA is ready to achieve a landslide victory in the assembly elections this time too,” he said in the post.
Apart from the Samastipur rally on Friday, PM Modi is going to address public meetings in Muzaffarpur and Chapra on October 30.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also hold two big election rallies on Friday – one in Siwan and the other in Buxar.
The BJP state leadership has completed all preparations for the high-profile visits of both PM Modi and Amit Shah, with local units being activated to ensure massive public turnout.
The rallies of PM Modi and Amit Shah are expected to raise the political temperature in the state and provide energy to the NDA campaign.
Voting is to be held in Bihar in two phases – November 6 and 11 and the counting of votes will take place on November 14.
