Kalil, a longtime lawful permanent resident of the United States originally from Australia, was accused of making lewd comments to the teenage student, convincing the boy to masturbate with him over a FaceTime call and inviting the teen to smoke marijuana, after which he allegedly performed oral sex on her.

An Instagram that appears to belong to Kalil describes the teacher as a “maestro” and claims she studied piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and was accepted to Juilliard.
