New Delhi, Oct 23 (IANS) Air Chief Marshal AP Singh along with his wife and daughter on Thursday visited Gurdwara Moti Bagh Sahib in New Delhi to pay their respects to the holy Jor Sahib on the beginning of the ‘Charan Suhave-Guru Charan Yatra’.

The journey marks a moment of deep reverence as the nation prepares for this historic spiritual journey carrying the sacred remains of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.

The revered shoes of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, Jore Sahib has been devotedly preserved for over three centuries by the family of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri before being handed over to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.

Last week on Thursday, the Union Minister had announced to present these holy relics for the Sangat’s darshan at Takht Sri Patna Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Sahib.

Making the formal announcement, he had said that Jora Sahib would be taken from Delhi to Patna Sahib as part of the “Charan Suhawa, Guru Charan Yatra”, allowing devotees to have darshan of the holy relic en route.

This relic symbolizes the humility, grace and divine legacy of the tenth Guru and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, a sacred reminder of her sacrifice, courage and compassion.

Its darshan inspires the devotees to follow the path of religion and selfless service to the Guru.

Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra will go from Delhi to Takht Sri Patna Sahib, passing through Faridabad, Agra, Bareilly, Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Sasaram and will culminate at the birthplace of Guru in Patna on November 1.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his warm wishes on the occasion of Guru Charan Yatra on Wednesday, citing the timeless teachings and spiritual legacy of Sri Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur.

He urged the citizens, especially those living on the yatra route, to participate in this spiritual pilgrimage and visit the holy ‘Jore Sahib’.
