cramps has condemned the “unacceptable and extremely disturbing” behavior of a fan who was filmed inappropriately groping popular streamer Emiru at TwitchCon 2025.
Cosplayer and videogamer EmiruReal name Emily-Beth Schunk, was hosting a fan meet and greet Streamer’s Annual Conference On Friday, when he was allegedly attacked by a fan.
In a video captured by a fan of the incident shared on X, the 27-year-old producer is seen talking to a fan when a tall man quickly approaches him and grabs him. Before she can scream, he leans in and appears to try to kiss her, causing her security guard to immediately spring into action and push the man away.
Following the incident, Emiru shared his account of what had happened, explaining that he initially thought the man might have been an employee of TwitchCon.
“He’s walking with a purpose,” she recalled on a livestream. ign“And then he leans in like he’s going to tell me something.”

She further said that she was “nervous because he grabbed me. This is not normal.”
“And then he grabs my face, and he leans in, puckers his lips, and tries to kiss me and I start screaming,” she claimed. “You can’t hear it in the clip, but I’m screaming with my head down.
“Twitch security is nowhere near me. I can see them, but they don’t do anything,” Emiru alleged. “My security immediately comes up and gets the guy off of me, and he is allowed to walk away. No one from Twitch staff came over to see what was happening.”
Twitch addressed the situation In a statement shared on Saturday xNoting that “the safety and security of everyone attending TwitchCon is our top priority.”
“The behavior displayed by the individual involved in yesterday’s incident involving a high-profile streamer was completely unacceptable and extremely disturbing,” the post reads.

“Consistent with existing TwitchCon security protocols, law enforcement and event security were on site and responded to the incident. We immediately barred this individual from returning to TwitchCon premises, and he has been indefinitely banned from Twitch at both online and in-person events. We are coordinating with the affected creator’s team and, per our standard protocols, will continue to cooperate with any law enforcement investigations.”
“It’s really important to us that our creators enjoy their experience at TwitchCon and feel safe. We’re sorry that their experience was disrupted by this terrible incident.”

Emiru is famous for dressing up as popular video game characters while hosting video game livestreams. He first began posting on Twitch in 2015, primarily focusing on his content League of Legends Gameplay. By 2022, she joined esports website Cloud9 and expanded its content to include interactive “just chatting” videos and cosplay. He has since amassed nearly 2 million followers on Twitch and nearly 1.5 million followers on YouTube.
