VOlodymyr Zelensky Wants axe to destroy missiles RussiaCommand and control the war in your country. donald trump has said he is tempted to sell them to Kiev, which prompted kremlinProminent extremist and former President Dmitry Medvedev claims that “it will end badly for everyone” – especially the US.
Why so much ruckus?
axe missile Can fly up to a thousand miles (1,600 km), carry about half a ton of explosives, can be directed at targets in russiaSome are accurate to within a meter, and can move across the sky to dive on a target of opportunity. America has launched this year axe Destructive but not strategic impact against the Houthis in Yemen and against Iran.
ukraine has developed its own long-range missile, the Flamingo or FP-5. It could hit targets up to 1,600 miles (3,000 km) away and carry more than a ton of explosives.
If Zelensky persuades Trump to sell Tomahawk missiles to European donors ukraineThis would be a major military boost for Kyiv.
More importantly, it would signal that Trump has switched sides ukraine,Russia Confrontation. He has hinted that he might do so, but so far he has sided with Russia over former US ally Ukraine.

He has become frustrated that Putin has ignored his efforts to secure a ceasefire in Ukraine, where NATO estimates Russia has suffered 1.1 million casualties.
Last Sunday, Trump said on social media: “Yeah, I can tell them [Putin]If the war is not settled, we may well do it. We might not, but we might… Do they want Tomahawks headed in their direction? I don’t think so.”
Riding a wave of diplomatic masculinity after being widely praised for agreeing to a ceasefire in Gaza, Trump may be feeling more confident in his support for Zelensky – once a hated figure among Gaza supporters heavily influenced by Russian propaganda. Zelensky certainly hopes so.

Europe also does the same. The latest warning over the dangers on the continent comes from Germany’s spy chief Martin Jaeger, head of its foreign intelligence service.
“Today we are already under fire,” he told German lawmakers. “The means used by Moscow are well known – attempted manipulation of elections and public opinion, propaganda, provocation, disinformation, espionage, sabotage, airspace violations by drones and fighter planes, contract killings, harassment of opposition figures living abroad.”
The Dutch are sending €290m to Ukraine for drone development, Estonia recently announced “millions of euros” for Kiev in drones, and NATO members are racing to boost the capabilities of their Baltic Sentry and Eastern Sentry air defenses after repeated penetrations of NATO airspace by Russian drones and aircraft.

Trump won’t be swayed by what the German spook-in-chief says. He does not believe in Russian efforts to subvert democracy (as Moscow has been accused of meddling in his own elections).
But, his Knesset speech this week revealed that he prefers to support a winner – especially one who wins using American weapons, which, he claimed, had contributed to Israel’s “victory” in Gaza.
Tomahawk missiles can attack Russian command centers. They could destroy Moscow’s complex resupply routes, airfields and bridges. These are all targets Ukraine has been aiming for for more than a year. Kiev is battling similar counterattacks as Russia – but Putin’s forces may be forced to collapse if they begin to feel cut off from the homeland.
Trump has said that Russia could be a “paper tiger”, and that Zelensky would like to add Tomahawks to his arsenal. So far, only the head of Putin’s administration, Medvedev, has reacted to the Tomahawk threat. And a very weak one at that.

“The delivery of these missiles could end badly for everyone. And first of all – for Trump himself,” the former Russian president said.
Zelensky has worked hard to win Trump’s attention since Trump angrily told him in the Oval Office in February that he had no cards to play in a war with Russia.
He has courted and flattered the American Commander-in-Chief and his efforts have found support among the leaders of Europe, willing to sacrifice personal dignity for strategic support.
It’s not there yet. But Ukraine and its allies know that Putin has overplayed his cards with Trump, who could have landed some aces, some tomahawks, and more.
He would like to see Putin humbled, and Zelensky’s best play is that Trump will have fun forcing kremlin To turn and ask for a seat at the table of peace.
