Mumbai, September 30 (IANS) Maharashtra Vice President Eknath Shinde said on Tuesday that the party’s customary Dussehra rally will be held in Mumbai this year, but also said that Shiva Saiken has not been called from those areas, given the flood situation in Vidarbha, Marathwada and North Maharashtra; Instead, help the farmers.
He said that a major crisis affects the farmers of the state, and it is the responsibility of the government to wipe their tears.
He told reporters that Shiv Sainiks of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Mumbai Metropolitan region have been invited for the Dussehra rally, which will be held at Nesco Ground in Gorgaon instead of Azad Maidan this year, which is full of rainwater and mud.
He appealed to the party employees from flood affected areas to give priority to help farmers instead of coming to the meeting.
He said, “We do not have to show our strength; people have made us victorious. Now we will use our strength to help the farmers.”
“Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and I have inspected the areas affected by heavy rains and understood the sufferings of the farmers. The Panchnama will be completed in the next two to three days, and the limit of the loss will be clear, and then will be ready to take a concrete decision.
He said that the cabinet meeting unanimously decided that the previous government had also relaxed the rules while distributing assistance.
Shinde said that floods have washed the land, causing heavy loss to livestock, causing loss of life, and in some places the houses are still under water.
At such a time, the Shiv Sena is providing a kit of 26 types of essential commodities to the flood affected farmers and said that the previous farmer will be helped.
Shinde appealed to the opposition not to do politics by doing photo sessions. He also clarified that a discussion has been organized with Health Minister Prakash Abitkar to prevent the spread of epidemic diseases in the event of floods.
He said, “Just as Shiva Secix had done large -scale relief work in Kolhapur and Chiplun this year, efforts will be made to rebuild the lives of the flood victims by conducting cleanliness drives and health camps through the Shiv Sena,” he said.
“Our policy is that where there is a disaster or crisis, the Shiv Sena will be there. We are doing 80 percent social work and 20 percent politics according to the views of Balasaheb Thackeray and Anand Dighe,” Shinde said.
