John Suraj writes to the party chief PM Modi, demanding action against Emperor Chaudhary

Patna, September 30 (IANS) Bihar’s politics on Tuesday saw a fresh storm after sending a word letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the national President of Jaan Suraj Party on Tuesday, seeking immediate action against Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary on his alleged role in Luna Parsa massacre in 1995.

The move follows a statement by Jan Suraj Party chief Prashant Kishore, who announced on Monday that such a letter would be sent to the Prime Minister.

In his letter, Uday Singh, citing government records, said that Samrat Chaudhary has been nominated as an accused in Case No. 44/1995 at Tarapur police station, which belongs to the Luna Parsa massacre of 28 March, 1995, in which six members of the Kushwaha community were killed.

According to Singh, Chaudhary was arrested for several months and was jailed, his bail was rejected twice.

He was released after claiming a minor situation, allegedly using his matriculation admission card to show that he was 15 years old at that time.

However, Singh highlighted an important discrepancy in Chaudhary’s election affidavits, which he filed in 2020. Chaudhary declared the year of his birth as 1969, which would have made him at the age of 26 in 1995, not a minor.

Singh wrote, “This contradiction shows that he was released from jail by presenting false documents, an attempt to avoid a serious crime.”

Uday Singh urged PM Modi to dismiss Emperor Chaudhary from his post and allow the law to take his natural course so that the victims of this genocide can get justice.

He insisted that the continuous presence of such a person in the higher office reduces the dignity of governance and public trust in democratic institutions.

Currently, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and a prominent Kori/Kushwaha community leader, Emperor Chaudhary, is an influential person in the NDA government.

Allegations can create political unrest for the BJP, especially with 2025 Bihar assembly elections.

On Monday evening, Emperor Chaudhary replied and said that the allegations against him were baseless.
