New Home Secretary to discuss border security

Home Secretary Shabana Mehmood will host counterparts in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand to discuss border security on Monday, which is his first major engagement in his new role.

Ms. Mahmood said: “We deal with serious organized crime and secure our limits to rebuild our reputation on the world stage.

“We have already resetted our relationship with the European Union, hit the deal smuggling people with G7 and conducted our first return agreement with France. Today, we will agree on new measures to protect our boundaries with our five eye partners, killing people with smuggling.

“Five eyes can be drawn from different corners of the world, but we are united by our alliance. As the security threats we all face more complex and complete the continents, we are strong and safe together.”

Unions urged the government not to water the bills of workers’ rights.

The unions are urging the government that after the change of the minister in recent times, their major bills should not be watered on the rights of the workers, saying that people hope to be expected to be expected to fulfill the promises made during the general election.

The Employment Rights Bill, which is in its last parliamentary stages, was made the champion by former Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rener and former Employment Rights Minister Justin Maders.

Both have abandoned the positions that they were in the form of law, taken through the Commons, which has raised concerns between some union leaders.

TUC general secretary Paul Novak said on Sunday that he had not seen any evidence that the bill was being fed water.

Next to the early day of the Tuci Congress in Brighton, he said: “The government should fulfill the promises made to the British people in the last July.

“Bill will level the playground – by increasing the standards already set by the best employers, working with unions, more than millions.”
