NDA VP candidate CP Radhakrishnan meets Amit Shah in Delhi

New Delhi, August 23: National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday in the national capital.

A day earlier, Shah said that the nomination of Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan is a matter of pride for Tamil Nadu as Vice President for the NDA Vice President and reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to honor the Tamil culture, language and leadership.

Speaking at the conference of booth committee members in Tirunelveli, Shah regretted not being able to address the gathering in Tamil and thanked PM Modi and BJP President JP Nadda for his support to Radhakrishnan.

“I have come to tell the people of the state that after assuming the post of Vice President, Tamil Nadu’s son CP Radhakrishnan is going to become the President of the Rajya Sabha. Earlier, the NDA honored APJ Abdul Kalam ji that he was working as President of India.

On Wednesday, CP Radhakrishnan filed his nomination papers for the Vice Presidential election in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

From July 31, 2024, Governor Chandrapuram Ponansamy Radhakrishnan of Maharashtra, earlier also worked as the Governor of Jharkhand, Lieutenant Governor of Telangana and Puducherry.

Radhakrishnan, who worked as a two -time MP from Coimbatore, was born on October 20, 1957 in Tirpur, Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu’s BJP Stalwart has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and in 1974 BJP’s precursor became a member of the State Committee of the Indian Public Relations.

Prior to the Jan Sangh, he joined the Rashturia Swayamsevak Union (RSS). In 1996, Radhakrishnan was appointed as BJP Tamil Nadu Secretary, after which he was elected as a Lok Sabha member from Coimbottore in 1998 and was reunited again in 1999. (ANI).
