Kathua landslide: LG Sinha briefly told the Union Home Minister on rescue and relief operations

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha spoke to Honorable Union Home Minister Amit Shah and informed him on the ongoing rescue and relief operations in the rain-trigger landslide affected areas of Kathua district.

The Lieutenant Governor has expressed his grief and pain over the loss of life in a tragic event and has increased his condolences to the bereaved families.

He directed senior citizens and police officers to coordinate and execute rescue and assistance efforts in affected areas and ensure medical assistance on site.

In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said: “In many areas of Kathua, destructive rain-trigger in landslides deeply suffering from loss of life.

I have directed senior citizens and police officers to coordinate and execute rescue and assistance efforts in affected areas and ensure medical assistance at the site. My views are with bereaved families and are praying for the fast recovery of the injured. ,
