With 6.5 PC GDP growth in the last financial year, India is growing fastest among major world economies: President Murmu

President Draupadi Murmu on Thursday highlighted India’s journey to development of India since independence, which paid special attention to the role of artificial intelligence in economic development, technological progress and the future.

In his address to the nation on the eve of the 79th Independence Day, President Murmu said that the country’s 6.5 percent GDP growth rate, controlled inflation rate and rising exports are all major indicators that the Indian economy is in the pink color of health.

He said that India has made “extraordinary progress” in all regions and is on the way to become a self -sufficient nation.

“We started a new journey in 1947. After a long years of foreign rule, India was completely in poverty at the time of independence. But in 78 years, we have made extraordinary progress in all areas. India is on the way to become a self -sufficient nation and is moving forward with great confidence,” said President Murmu.

The President said that at present India remains the fastest growing economy in the world amid tension in the global economy, saying that it is all possible due to “calibrated reforms and conscious economic management”.

He said, “In the economic sector, our achievements are all more noticeable. With a GDP growth rate of 6.5 percent in the last financial year, India is growing fastest among major economies in the world. Even in the global economy, there has been an increase in demand at home. The hard work and dedication of our workers and farmers.”

The President confirmed that a large part of the population has been taken out of poverty, income inequality is decreasing and “good governance” regional inequalities are disappearing.

“A large number of people have been taken out of poverty through good governance. President Murmu said that Artificial Intelligence is the next stage of technological advancement, which improves India-AI Mission’s launch to create AI models in line with India’s needs and to bring the country into a position as a global AI hub by 2047, improves the lives of governance and citizens, keeping in mind the launch of the India-AI Mission.

“Artificial Intelligence is the next stage of technological advancement and has already entered our lives. The government has launched an India-AI mission to strengthen the country’s AI capabilities. It is also helping to create AI models that responds to India’s specific needs. As we wish to become a global-AI-hub by 2047, we will make the best use for the common people.” (AI)
