Pahalgam, August 08, KDC: The two-day National Conference on Nano and Supermolecular Chemistry (NCNSC-2025) concluded on Friday at Pahgam Tourism in South Kashmir, where speakers from across the country reflected not only on scientific progress, but also on the deep relationship between the people of the region and its lifetime.

He said that tourism remains an important source of livelihood for countless families in Kashmir and said that the valley is actually a jewel in the crown of our great democratic nation.

Inauguration address for Day 2 Pro. Kosar Majid was given by the head of the Department of Chemistry and the Chairman of the Conference. He said that tourism remains an important source of livelihood for many people here.

“As scientists and academics, we take the tender hearts and go deep out of the suffering of this land and its people. Kashmir is actually a jewel in the crown of our great democratic nation. Almighty can continue to protect our country, and especially its valuable part,” he said.

Pro. Kosar said that one of the important objectives of keeping this part of the conference in Pahgam is to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the recent unfortunate incident.

“We strongly condemn the brutal murders. Our hearts are heavy with grief, and we share in the pain of families who have faced such unimaginable disadvantages. We pray for peace and strength for the departed souls and patience and strength for our loved ones,” he said.

Pro. Kosar further said that 15 years ago, Chemistry Department. A conference was organized, whose Valdictory function was held in Pahalgam.

He said that nature, nanocines and supermolecular science are interconnected. Supermolecular science discovers the elegant world of non-coordinating interaction and molecular self-anxiety, offering fundamentals to design complex molecular architecture.

He said, “Nanocines constructs on these principles, allowing us to manipulate materials in Nanoskel, where unique and often transformative properties emerge. Nature, in its talent, in its talent, shows innocent such examples from DNA helicopters and protein complexes to cellular systems,” he said.

Dean alumni and NIT of International Affairs Srinagar, Prof. Ma Shah said that the purpose of hosting the second day of the conference in Pahgam was to pay the rich tribute killed in the April 22 deadly attack, and it is a message to the people that now everything in Pahgam is fine.

He said, “Tourism is the backbone of Kashmir, and that is why people strongly condemned the deadly attack. We are hopeful, things will be normal again,” he said.

Pro. Shah praised the Department of Chemistry for organizing the conference on relevant subject.

The first invited negotiations of the session IV were chaired by Prof. Ma Shah, Department of Physics, Prof. Nikhil R. Jana, School of Materials Science, Indian Association for the Culture of Science, Kolkata, on the title, were designing collaidal nano drugs for neurodigenerative diseases.

After this, Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Dar, a lecture of the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Chemistry, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir was given, “Nuclearly scattered catalysts for the CO2 Reduction Reaction: Insight from the first principles.”

After another speaker: Dr. Fatima Late, Chemical Engineering Department, NIT Srinagar. Its theme was “focused on selective hydrocarbon activation: Microcynetic simulation arm abs into catalytic designs.”

Throughout the sessions, the speakers gave practical presentations on the latest progress in nano and supermolecular chemistry, provoking active engagement to the audience.

The participants formed a series of thoughtful and challenging questions, which led to interactive discussion that enriched the exchange of knowledge and ideas during the incident.

The conference was anchored by Phalk Jahn (PhD scholar) from the Department of Chemistry, NIT Srinagar.

Meanwhile, the poster evaluation session was chaired by Dr. Hirakandu Basu did BARC from Mumbai. In the poster presentation category, Dr. Feroz Sophie finished first, Dr. from NIT Srinagar. Wasim Arif finished second, and TM Amarnath finished third from Bark.

In the oral presentation category, D Kesar Sadiaq from Chemistry Department, Kashmir University secured first place, while Dr. of IIT Rokey. Nivevedata finished second.

Organizing Secretary of the Conference, Dr. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Ravi Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, NIT Srinagar. He thanked the Director, Registrar, Central Administration and Resources for the conference for making the incident a success.

The session was followed by an award ceremony for posters and oral rendition.

Closing Comment Pro. Kosar Majid, the head department of chemistry and chairman NCNSC -25, was done by director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, Dean R&C Rohoi Naz, Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman, Dr. Srinagar, Dean, Heads of Departments, officers Incharges, accounts, security, hygiene and volunteers to make this incident a great success.
