Budgam, 05 August: Minister of Health and Medical Education, Minister of Social Welfare and Education, Sekena Itu, today visited Ichgam Budgam, who gives condolences to the family of the young student, who lost his life in a tragic power event yesterday.
MLA Chadura, Ali Mohammad Dar; MLA Khan Sahib, Saif-U-Din Bhat; Director School Education Kashmir and other senior officials of the district administration also came with the minister.
During the journey, the minister met the bereaved family to provide condolences during this difficult time and express solidarity with them. He assured them that accountability will be fixed on this unfortunate incident and fast action would be taken against those responsible for this negligence.
The minister further assured the family that the government is standing with him at this moment of grief and will be provided all the necessary support and assistance.
The minister, first, visited the site of the incident and assessed the leading circumstances for this unfortunate incident.
Later, the minister gave Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Dr. A brief meeting was held with Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat and other senior officials of the district administration.
The minister issued strict directions to the district administration to ensure transparent and time-to-time investigation of the incident and fixed responsibility on those found guilty of negligence and took action against them as per the law.
He directed the district administration to review security measures with all schools and other public institutions to prevent such incidents in future.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner informed the minister that an inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the incident and find out how the electrocution occurred, identify any laps and ensure that the accountability is fixed.
