After a horse was killed, the police have started an animal cruelty investigation and many others have been injured in the Niagra region.
Niagra Regional Police says that the “Disturbing Act” took place in a horse boarding form and Highway 140 in Velland near Buchner Road.
The police were called on Thursday after the form staff found eight horses with injuries and during their regular morning investigation, there was a continuous cut with knife wounds.
Investigators say that a horse was found dead, one was sent to a veterinary hospital for emergency care, and other people were treated on the site.
They say that the forensic unit also visited the scene to thoroughly investigate the evidence.
The police is asking anyone to come forward for information.
