People’s Conference President and MLA Handwada Sajad Gani Lone has overshadowed the Jammu and Kashmir administration, described as a dangerous mixture of disability, chronism and target sacrifice, especially in the handling of the Finance Department.
In a statement issued here, taking a strong exception to the government’s alleged failure in issuing the MLA fund, Lone clearly asked, “Can the government explain the inability to issue the MLA fund and yet a JD is an audacity to attach Finance?”
Loan expressed concern that the officer in question was being instigated not for wrongdoing but for their identity and merit. “The first sin was that this officer seems to be a son of being a Kashmiri. The second sin, of course, was very talented.”
Calling for a change for professional capacity from individual preferences, the loan outlined the significant importance of the Finance Department in the UT’s governance structure. “The Finance Department requires skilled people to run it. It cannot be run on liking or dislikes or craze. A non-fond man cannot run it,” he warned.
Keeping a direct objective on the current ruling leadership, he said that “We have a minister who is from a non-oblivion background and anything efficient.”
Highlighting the strategic role of the Finance Department in the region like Jammu and Kashmir, Lone said, “There is no need to add, the Finance Department is the engine of the government and significantly, the engine of the Kashmiri economy which has a high ratio of public spending.”
He concluded with a striking piece of unwanted but immediate advice, saying “Please keep your house in order. Decide the skill to posting and not chronism. You are in dire need of talented people. I would not have advised you – but you are going to drown the entire governance boat.
