Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who recently visited the statue of unity in Gujarat, said that the journey makes the horizon and mind wider and tourism plays an important role in India’s economy, and the industry has the ability to provide employment to millions of people in the industry.

Abdullah responded by PM Narendra Modi on a social media post, in which the National Conference (NC) leader appreciated the Statue of Unity for his visit, calling it an inspirational gesture that promotes national unity and encourages domestic tourism.

In a post on X, Omar Abdullah wrote on Friday, “I believe a firm belief that makes the journey horizon and brain @narendramodi ji comprehensive. It is especially important for us. Tourism in J&K is an important part of our economy and similarly people are trying to work. Year.”

Abdullah is on a two -day visit to Gujarat. As part of his journey program, he visited the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad this morning.

After visiting the Sabarmati Ashram, in a post on X, Abdullah wrote, “My journey to Ahmedabad is now complete. I think both are humble and privileged, shown around the submarme ashram of Mahatma Gandhi, father of the nation. Their teachings are still right and we should think in that direction, but we should think.”

During the journey, J&K CM also tried his hand in the Charkha (a hand -operated spinning wheel, traditionally used to make yarn from fiber such as cotton). Charkha is seen as a symbol of the Indian independence movement, and is similar to Mahatma Gandhi’s self -reliance and philosophy of non -violence.

On Thursday, Omar Abdullah visited the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Kevadia, Gujarat, and praised the project for bringing water to the drought affected areas. CM Abdullah also expressed optimism that similar projects for Jammu and Kashmir can be considered with the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty to overcome the lack of water and electricity.

Talking to reporters, Omar Abdullah said, “This dam has brought water to areas that did not know anything other than drought … It has been unfortunate in Jammu and Kashmir that we could not even imagine such projects because we were not allowed to stop water.

Expressing his praise, the Chief Minister visited the statue of Ekta in Gujarat, and said, “I did not know that the statue of Ekta would be so spectacular. It is a true tribute to a great identity for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and New India.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah paid the courtesy journey of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel of Gandhinagar.
JK Chief Minister reached Gujarat for a tourism fair, which is a step to attract a significant number of tourists from the state. Speaking on his visit, CM Omar Abdullah said that there are three states including Gujarat, from where maximum tourists reach Jammu and Kashmir.

“Given the last 30-35 years, since the start of tourism, three states have been the primary source of J&K: Gujarat, Maharashtra and West Bengal. My team and I have come here for a tourist fair, to speak for JK, hope to see a good number of tourists from Gujarat,” He said. (AI)
