Srinagar, August 1, KDC: A Border Security Force (BSF) constable deployed in Srinagar has gone missing, indicating large -scale search operations by security forces in the area.
Sources found news agency Kashmir.com (KDC), Constable (General Duty) Sugam Chaudhary, 24, serving with ‘C’ company of 60th Battalion BSF, was found to be absent from Pantalion Headquarters from Pantalion from 1700 hours on July 31, 2025.
Despite the intense discoveries conducted by BSF teams, specially assigned in the surrounding area, including Pantchowak bus stand, taxi stand, and Srinagar railway station, no mark of the missing jawan has yet been found. Officials said a missing report has been lodged at the Police Station Panthachowk as part of formal procedures.
Chaudhary, a native of Sikhera village in Kotwali Dehat in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, is the son of the late Devendra Kumar. According to early internal reports, described as a fair-complexian with black hair and a height of 174.5 cm, he did not display any signal of crisis or unusual behavior before his disappearance.
Officials have confirmed that all standard protocols are being followed, and their family has been informed about the situation.
Officials have not rejected any possibility, and both internal investigation and police investigation are going on to locate the missing personnel. (KDC)
