One Walmart is in custody of Michigan officials alleging stabbing 11 people.

Officials say Six victims were left in critical condition and detained in the attack on MICH Saturday, MICH.

The Grand Traver County Sheriff Office said in a statement on social media that the 42 -year -old suspect entered the store some time before 5 pm and used a folding knife to stab 11 people. A Sheriff arrived within the deputy minutes and took the man into custody.

The people of the store also helped catch the suspect and treat the victims, the Sheriff Office said.

The age of the victims was not released immediately.

“Eleven 11 is very high, but thank God that it was not much,” Sheriff Michael Sheya told reporters.

Emergency vehicles and uniforms first collected in the parking lot of the shopping center, with several other retail stores. Officers were also seen interviewing the employees, still a blue uniform was inherent and wearing the name tag, given a way to an inquiry as a response.

36 -year -old Tiffany Defel, who was in honor of about 25 miles (40 km) from Travers City, said she was in a store parking when she saw chaos around her.

“It was really scary. I and my sister were just leaving,” he said. “This is something you see out of films. It’s not what you hope to see where you are living.”

Munsan Healthcare said through social media that 11 people were being treated at the largest hospital in the area of North Michigan. Spokesperson Megan Brown said that all the victims were stabbing. Six people were important and five on Saturdays were in critical condition, he said.

Xi said that the weapon involved in this appeared as a folding knife. Sheya said that the suspect is considered a resident of Michigan, but refused to share further details. Michigan State Police said in the first day that the suspected officers were in custody.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said: “Our thoughts are with the victims and the community who are from this cruel work of violence.”

Walmart said in a statement that it would continue to work closely with law enforcement in the investigation.

The statement said, “Such violence is unacceptable. Our views are with those who were injured and we are first grateful to the sharp action of the respondents.”

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said in a social media post that the bureau officials were responding to “providing any necessary assistance”.

Traveers City is a popular holiday place on the banks of Michigan Lake. It is known for its cherry festival, winery and lighthouse and is about 25 miles (40 km) east of Sleeping Beer Dunes National Lashore.
