Two top Canadian Triathlets hopes that a new race in Toronto will inspire more people to take the game.
Charles packets and Mathis Buuliyu will be running at Supertory Toronto on this Saturday, which will shut down the international league season. He feels that the short-cures version of the multisort race is more exciting for the audience and ideally, will lead a new generation of Canadian Triathlets.
“I think it is becoming more popular, starting to be more popular,” the packet said, which is from port-carcass, Q. “When I started the game, I think people really didn’t know what Triathlon was, but now it is becoming more and more popular.
“Hopefully, a lot of people are going to see and I can inspire some people to try it.”
Quebec City’s Beuliyu has similar expectations, given that Canada has not had an elite triathlon race for years.
“I think it can really be very big. I think it can be on a large scale because Canada does not have too much short-worker racing,” he said. “I think the superties are super light, dynamic, intensity.
“I think it’s fresh, it’s new.”
Superties have small and sharp formats, often with several small races in quick succession. An Olympic Triathalon follows 1.5 km of swimming, 40 km bicycle ride and a standardized distance of 10 km race.
The League will hold a race in August in Chicago and also in tooluz, France in October.
In Toronto, competitive Olympic distance will be done but at the small loops to live in the view of the audience. It has a swimming in the water shelters of Ontario Place, riding a bike on closed roads and running with a lake noise bullet and gardiner expressway.
Buuliyu has a recommendation to the audience who is expecting to catch the best view of the race.
