BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said on Saturday that Kargil Vijay Day is a symbol of “indomitable courage and valor” of Indian soldiers, who sacrificed their lives to protect the boundaries of the country.

Speaking to ANI, Chugh emphasized that on April 22, Operation Sindoor, organized by the Indian security forces as a response to the Pahalgam attack, proved that this is a new India, which “decisive action” against terrorism.

“Kargil Vijay Dewas is a symbol of the indomitable courage and valor of our brave soldiers, who made history by protecting the boundaries of the country without taking care of their lives or families. Operation Sindoor also proved that it is a new India, which takes decisive action against terrorism without any compromise and is committed to the safety of his citizens …”, Chowg said.

Today is the 26th anniversary of Kargil Victory Day.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Day and recalled Javan’s sacrifices, who fought with courage and valor in the Kargil war.

PM Modi said that the sacrifice made by the jawan will continue to motivate every generation.

“Heartfelt greetings to the countrymen on Kargil Victory Day. This opportunity reminds us of the unique courage and valor of the brave sons of Mother India, who dedicated his life to protect the pride of the nation. The passion to sacrifice everything for the motherland will inspire every generation,” PM Modi posted on X, “

President Draupadi Murmu also extended his greetings on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Day on Saturday.

The country is celebrating the 26th anniversary of Kargil Victory Day. Families of soldiers remember the bravery and dedication of their loved ones who laid their lives during the war between India and Pakistan at icy heights in 1999.

Kargil Vijay Dewas is celebrated every year on 26 July, reminiscent of the success of Operation Vijay in 1999. During this struggle, Indian forces successfully recommend strategic positions in the Kargil region of Jammu and Kashmir, infiltrating by Pakistani soldiers and terrorists. (AI)
