Srinagar, 25 July: Mian Altaf Ahmed, a member of the National Conference of Parliament, expressed his pain and sorrow over the death of a youth in Jammu area in the alleged police firing yesterday.
In a statement, Mian Altaf strongly condemned the murder of Mohammad Parvez, a resident of Nikki Tawi Jammu and demanded a rapid track inquiry into the incident and took strict action against the police officers involved.
“This is a wider day murder of youth; The administration should investigate it and those involved in the murder should be dealt with strongly,” read the statement.
Mian Altaf called such incidents unfortunate and unacceptable.
He expressed solidarity and sympathy with the victim’s family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. He assured the family of youth killed in police firing all possible help.
