The United States Department of State on Thursday nominated the Group and a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and a specially nominated global terrorist (TRF) as the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (late) and a specially designated global terrorist attack.
Established in 2019, Shortly after the cancellation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir (JK), the TRF is a part of Citizens, minorities, tourists, and security forces according to the wide Pakistan’s ISI-supported disintegration and hybrid war and goals.
Sources said that the organization has appointed former-SSG Commandos (Hashim Musa) of the Pakistan Army as part of its strategy to launch terrorist attacks.
He said that Pakistan -backed terrorist proxy resistance front (TRF) focuses on terror attacks, recruitment and campaigning in Kashmir.
Its major leadership including founders Muhammad Abbas Sheikh and Basit Ahmed Dar, Operational Chief are dead. Its supreme commander, Sheikh Sajjad Gul, is allegedly active, sources said.
There are also reports that the headquarters of TRF may be transferred from Muridke, Pakistan to Bahwalpur.
Reacting to the designation, Jaishankar of the Minister of External Affairs (EAM) welcomed the US decision on Friday, called it “a strong confirmation of Indo-US-American terrorism cooperation”.

In a statement, US State Secretary Marco Rubio admitted that TRF, a known proxy of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, claimed the responsibility of the Pahgam terrorist attack, under the anti-American terrorism laws.
The April 22 attack in the tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir claimed the lives of 26 citizens and triggered a four -day military growth between India and Pakistan. In its light, the US gave the group to the group as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) and a specially designated global terrorist (SDGT).
The US said that the attack was the most deadly civil attack in India since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
The US State Department further said that TRF has also been involved in several attacks on Indian security forces in recent years, including 2024.
The US government said that the decision underlined the Trump administration’s constant commitment to global terrorism.
The statement stated, “These actions conducted by the state department shows the Trump administration’s commitment to protect our national security interests, combat terrorism and implement President Trump’s call for justice for the Pahalgam attack of President Trump.”
“TRF and other affiliated surnames have been added to the designation as a FTO and SDGT for Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act and Executive Order 13224 respectively.
The Indian Embassy in Washington appreciated the US decision in a statement, saying, “Another demonstration of strong India-USA counter-attentive cooperation. Appreciate the State Department for listing Resistance Front (TRF) as a nominated foreign terrorist organization and specially designated global terrorist.”
“TRF is a proxy of Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and claimed responsibility for the April 22 terrorist attack on citizens in Pahgam. Zero tolerance for terrorism!” The Indian Embassy said.
Earlier this week, Eam Jaishankar highlighted the Pahgam attack at a meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers in Tianjin, called for an unrelated global stance against terrorism.
