CM Omar Abdullah Rabita Office talks with citizens in Srinagar, hears public concerns

Srinagar, July 18, KDC: CM Omar Abdullah heard public grievances at the Srinagar Rabita office today after public talks in his Jammu Rabita office on Thursday. Many deputation and individuals today called the Chief Minister to the weekly public outreach program and apprised him of various issues, demands and challenges faced by various sections of the society.

Pro. Iqbal S. Hasanan, Padma Shri Awardee and National Board of Trustee at National Science and Technology University, Muscat, Oman gave his book “Fault Lines in the Faith” to the Chief Minister. Pro. Hasanan also works in Hamard University and the Executive Committee of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, and Jamia is a former supporter of Hamard.

Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Javid Ahmed Tenga met the Chief Minister to discuss various trade-related matters and shared insight into the challenges faced by the trade community in Kashmir.

A delegation of international martial arts players also called upon the Chief Minister to consult the emerging challenges related to international sports persons from Jammu and Kashmir, and demanded the government’s constant support to develop their talent and give them sufficient opportunities.

The Chairman and Secretary of the Federation of the Kashmir Labor Union, the Chief Minister’s attention is that there are pressure related concerns about Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWW). He urged the government to expedite the appointment of the chairman of the board and to facilitate quick approval of welfare funds for millions of construction workers across Jammu and Kashmir.

In addition, deputation of Birwah, Indrawal, Baramulla and other areas also met the Chief Minister to highlight specific issues for his constituencies and local population.

Representatives of minority communities also called the Chief Minister and flagged various issues and demands for his attention.

The Chief Minister gave a hearing to a patient with all the visiting delegations and individuals and assured him that his real concerns would be addressed on priority, which would confirm the commitment to his government’s inclusive and responsible regime. (KDC)
