Srinagar, 15 July: PDP leader and MLA Wahid Para on Tuesday criticized the BJP’s effort to see Urdu through a communal lens, which is a ‘dangerous’ and ‘derogatory’ new in the political discourse in J&K.
In a post on X, Wahid Para wrote, “BJP’s attempt to see Urdu through a communal lens in our political discourse in Jammu and Kashmir. Urdu is not a symbol of any religion, but for the identity of Jammu and Kashmir, which is the echo of Jammu and Kashmir, the echo of the Sunrut Stumer.
“The even more disturbing cat’s order is that the Naib Tehsildar fulfills the need for basic Urdu knowledge for the exam is a sign that the judicial forums are also starting to be caves under political pressure. BJP’s protests appear to shape the institutional reactions, which are a dangerous trend in any democracy,” The Post Reads.
“Urdu should be preserved not only as a language, but also as an incarnation of our shared heritage, administrative continuity and cultural essence, which binds every region of Jammu and Kashmir together,” he said.
