Jammu and Kashmir Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma said on Monday that it was unfortunate that the elected Chief Minister jumped on the border wall of Mazar-e-Shuhada and allegedly “engaged” in a scuffle with the police.

CM Omar Abdullah on Monday offered prayers after being allegedly stopped by security forces by jumping on the boundary wall of Mazar-e-Shuhada at Naqashband Sahib, Srinagar.
It was developed a day after the Jammu and Kashmir Police sealed the martyrs’ cemetery and, including Abdullah, inside their residences, a day after limiting top political leaders including Abdullah. To mark the anniversary of protesters sought by Dogra Forces of Maharaja Hari Singh on July 13, 1931, preventing them from visiting the martyrs from visiting the cemeteries (Mazar-e-Shuhada).
Abdullah said that he had not informed anyone before going to Majar-e-Shuhada as he was arrested yesterday on the day of Kashmir martyrs.
