Srinagar, 14 July: Jammu and Kashmir, amidst the curb and political restrictions, the President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Dr. Along with Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, on their way to Majar-E-Shahad in Sarinagar, they are on their way to pay the martyrs of July 13, 1931.
The top JKNC leadership is expected to pay prayers and floral tributes in the historic cemetery, which confirms the legacy of the party’s deep roots who prepared their lives to fight the autocratic rule.
The move came a day later when police sanctions stopped political leaders from visiting the site on the day of the martyrs.
JKNC condemned the action as “undemocratic and humiliating to history”.
“JKNC strongly condemned the police administration to make fun of democracy to prevent its members from paying tribute to the heroes of 13 July 1931,” said in his statement.
