Chief Secretary Atal Dulu reviewed the arrangement of Amarnath Yatra at Baltal Base Camp

Randals, July 13, KDC: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulu, made a wide visit to the Baltal Base Camp to assess the on -round arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (Sanji) -2025 today.

During the visit, the Chief Secretary presided over a high-level review meeting with other line departments to take stock of the facilities being provided to the pilgrims. The meeting focused on ensuring a spontaneous and comfortable pilgrimage experience for the devotees.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Genderbal, Syed Fahim Bihiki, informed the Chief Secretary on various aspects of travel management through Baltal Marg. These included health and housing facilities, water and electricity supply, hygiene measures, flood mitigation and other essential logistics.

The Chief Secretary also had a detailed review of security and traffic management schemes.

SSP rhinoceros, Khalil Poswal presented an observation of security arrangements, which include technical intervention such as the deployment of security personnel, monitoring measures and facial identification systems, CCTV coverage and integrated control room for real -time monitoring.

It was reported that round-the-clock monitoring mechanisms have been kept to ensure uninterrupted services and immediately address any emerging problems.

Appreciating the coordinated efforts of all departments and agencies, the Chief Secretary urged them to work with the same feeling and commitment to ensure a safe and successful journey.

Later, the Chief Secretary visited the base hospital at Baltal to inspect medical facilities, availability of emergency medicines and overall readiness to meet the health needs of pilgrims. He interacted with medical and paramedical staff and appreciated his dedication. He directed the Health Department to ensure adequate deployment of medical personnel, ambulances and essential medicines to fulfill the arrival of YTRS.

The Chief Secretary also visited the Joint Police Control Room (JPCR) Baltal, on-spot registration counters, tent houses and langar areas. He interacted with pilgrims, service providers and anchor sevadars to receive the first response to facilities. The pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and appreciated the active approach of the administration.
