The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir conducted a search operations at three suspicious places in Jammu, Doda and Handwara in a case related to terrorist financing.
According to a statement issued to the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the purpose of these discoveries is to secure important evidence to highlight a complex conspiracy associated with cross-border funding through cryptocurrency, designed to fuel terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and destabilize peace.
The statement reads the search operations, also targets India’s efforts to identify people who have provoked youth against the Union, threatening national security.
“Find FIR is part of an ongoing investigation under No. 12/2022, under Section 18, 38, and 39 of the illegal activities (prevention) Act, Section 120B, 121, and 121A of the Indian Penal Code, registered in CI-Siya Kashmir. Kashmir, Kashmir,” It reads.
It said that the recovered articles/electronic devices are expected to help the SIA identify co-speculators and to help orchestrate in-national anti-national activities.
“SIA is determined in its commitment to root out terrorism and its support systems, including refined methods such as cryptocurrency-based funding, which are rapidly exploiting to end violence and bigotry,” it reads (KNO)
