DSEK, SCERT-JK Launch for Induction Training School Heads

Srinagar, July 10: In collaboration with the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK), SCERT-JK, started a three-day ‘Induction Training Program’ for new promoted headmasters of Srinagar, Budgam, Genderbal and Pulwama districts.

Hosted in the SCERT-JK campus, the purpose of the training is to equip school heads with the knowledge and leadership skills required to implement effective and coherent institutional plan.

DSEK and the School Leadership Academy (SLA), organized under the aegis of SCERT-JK-Kashmir Division, attempts to strengthen the directive and administrative leadership in the alignment of the program National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Gun itu, director schooling Kashmir, was done as the chief guest, and hosted by SCERT-JK Joint Director, Syed Shabir Ahmed.

An important attraction of the program, Director Dr. The training module called ‘Developing Institutional Plan’ by GN Itu was official release. Appreciating the School Leadership Academy to design a comprehensive and actionable structure, Dr. Itu urged the heads (HOI) participating in the institutions to adopt structured and target-oriented approaches for school plan and development.

The director also interacted with the trainees, encouraging them to lead with integrity, inclusion and innovation. Emphasizing his dual role as instructional and administrative leaders, he called school heads to promote the learner-centered environment, to run data-informed decisions and implement institutional development plans with accountability and vision.

In his address, Syed Shabir Ahmed, JD Skirt, emphasized a phased rollout of the program in all ten districts of Kashmir, and appreciated coordinators for curing a module, which promotes leadership excellence and school improvement.

The induction program represents an important step towards institutionalizing leadership development at the ground level and confirms the commitment of DSEK and SCERT-JK to increase educational quality and governance throughout the region.
