India on Monday stopped voting on the proposal of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Afghanistan’s position and said that “general” approach, without new and targeted initiatives, is unlikely to distribute the results of the international community to the Afghan people.

He said that India, since August 2021, supplies around 50,000 metric tons of wheat, 330 metric tons of drugs and vaccines, 40,000 liters of pesticides Maithian, and 58.6 MT, and other essential commodities, which support millions of Afghans in strict needs of humanitarian aid. India also offers scholarships and fellowships to Afghan students. Since 2023, we have provided scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate courses to 2,000 Afghan students, including around 600 girls and women, ”he said.
