Traffic police released the latest advisor for Jammu-Srinagar NHW for Amarnath Yatra

Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K has issued an updated traffic advisor for passengers and transport operators between the ongoing maintenance challenges and the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025.

On July 5, from 5:00 pm to July 6, from 4:00 pm, a slow pace was observed with the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) due to the breakdown of three heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) and single-lane traffic between Marog and Kistwari Pathar. Passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly.

Important guidelines for passengers:

Residents of Rasi, Katra, Udhamur, Patnitop, Doda, and Ramban should take a valid photo ID from Jammu/Udampur to ensure a smooth route after cut-IF timing.

Passengers and LMV operators are advised to travel only during daylight, only due to the risk of shooting stones in Ramban-Banihal stretch.

Perishbals or livestock -transporting goods vehicle operators are urged to strictly follow loading guidelines and advisory time due to poor road conditions.

Fruit growers and load carriers from the valley should load and park the load and park vehicles before 9:00 pm daily between Navy Tunnel and Levadura to ensure timely movement.

Overloading is strictly discouraged. HMVS should carry enough fuel and ensure vehicle fitness before starting its journey.
