Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday paid a rich tribute to Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Sima Prasad Mukarji and recalled his contribution and sacrifice to the country, especially Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a gathering in the joy of Gujarat, Shah said that Mukarji sacrificed himself for Jammu and Kashmir, saying that this region could never become an integral part of India without him.

Mookerjee strongly opposed the special status and autonomy given to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. He advocated the complete integration of JK with the rest of India.

Shah said, “Today is a very important day. In 1901, Sima Prasad Mukarji was born on this day. Born in the land of West Bengal, he was a nationalist leader … The people of the nation are associating him with Jammu and Kashmir.

Proud of proud, the BJP leader said that the Bharatiya Jan Sangh launched by Moorji with only 10 members has now become the largest political party in the world.

Shah said, “He resigned from Jawaharlal Nehru’s Council of Ministers, which was against the policy of appeasement, after which he has become a party dedicated to India’s soil, culture and interest which was launched with 10 members, has become the largest political party in the world today. Sima Prasad Mukarji was the founder of the BJP’s ideological parents, Bharatiya Jana Sangh.

Born on July 6, 1901 in Calcutta, there were a versatile personality – patriotic, academics, academics, MPs, politicians and humanists. He received a heritage and nationalism from his father, Sir Ashutosh Mukarji, a respected Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University and a judge of the Calcutta High Court.

After independence, he joined the interim government under Jawaharlal Nehru as the Minister of Industry and Supplies, where he laid the foundation for India’s industrial development by establishing reputed institutions such as Chittaranjan Locomotive Factory, Sindri Fertilizer Corporation and Hindustan.

However, ideological differences resigned him, after which he founded the All India Janata (1951), which for the Championist ideals.

According to the official website of the BJP, on the issue of Delhi Treaty with Lukayat Ali Khan, Mubajee resigned from the cabinet on 6 April 1950. Later on October 21, 1951, Mookerjee founded the Bharti Jana Sangh in Delhi and became the first President.

Mookerjee went to meet Kashmir in 1953 and was arrested on 11 May. He was killed on 23 June 1953. (Ani)
