Officials said a 13 -year -old boy drowned on Friday while bathing in the Jhelum river in Hazin area of Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
An official told the news agency -Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a rescue operation was launched to trace it immediately after the incident.
The boy has been identified as Shahid Ahmed of Tariq Wani of Bahrabad area of Hazin.
The search operation to detect the teenager was going on when the report came last – (KNO)
