Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth held a telephonic conversation on Tuesday to discuss a wide range of issues related to defense and bilateral cooperation, in a release by the Ministry of Defense.
During the call, Singh highlighted the long track records of Pakistan’s cross-limit terrorism and said it has become a safe shelter for terrorists banning terrorists around the world, enjoying immunity.
The Ministry of Defense said that Rajnath Singh appreciated the unwavering support in India by the US in its fight against terrorism.
The two leaders discussed a comprehensive canvas of issues, from long-term cooperation in the defense sector to expand the industry cooperation, including training and military exchange.
They agreed to manufacture at the speed of this important and mutually beneficial partnership in all their columns such as integration of interoperability, integration of defense industrial supply chain, logistics sharing, increase in joint military exercises, and collaboration with other similar -ideological partners.
Speaking on Operation Sindoor, Rajnath Singh said that India has the right to respond and rescue against terrorism and at the same time stops attacks from any border. He said that India’s works were measured, non-esclery, proportional and terrorist infrastructure focused on disabling.
The ministry also mentioned that Rajnath Singh praised the US Defense Secretary for his dynamic leadership, which has brought defense cooperation between the two countries to new levels. Hegseth invited Rajnath Singh to the US for a meeting of a person to carry forward bilateral defense partnership.
In a post on X, Rajnath Singh said that a discussion was held to further strengthen the Indo-American defense partnership and review new initiatives to deepen and strengthen cooperation in capacity building. He expressed eagerness to meet the US Defense Secretary at the initial date.
This was his third telephonic conversation since January this year when Pete Hegseth was confirmed as US Defense Secretary. (AI)
