Sakeena Itoo Bandipora reviews the developmental landscape of the district

Bandipora, June 04, KDC: Minister of Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Sekena Itu on Wednesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting with the heads (HODS) and district officials of the departments to assess progress on development in Bandipora district.

MLA bandipora nizam uddin bhat; DDC Vice President Kuser Shafiq, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Manzoor Ahmed Qadri; Director Social Welfare Kashmir, Director School Education Kashmir, Director Colleges Jammu, Kashmir, Mission Director Pohan Jammu -Kashmir, Director Health Service Kashmir, Director Ayush Jammu -Kashmir, Director Family Welfare and Vaccination Jammu -Kashmir, Executive Director Rehabilitation Council J&K, DPO ICDS Bandipora, CEO Wullar Manasbal Development Authority and other related officers were present on the authorities.

During the meeting, Minister Sekena emphasized the need for efficient implementation of government schemes and urged the authorities to ensure timely distribution of services to the people. He reacted to closely cooperate with sectoral heads and directed departments to solve any bottleneck.

The minister appreciated the efforts of the district administration and area officials in implementing welfare measures and assured full support from the government in accelerating the projects for the benefit of the public.

During the meeting, major issues such as Bandipora-Cumbal and Bandipora-Sopore routes, non-functional lifts in district hospital and road widening projects on shortage of employees in the department of health and education were discussed.

Earlier, with the minister, MLA Bandipora Nizam Uddin Bhat, DDC Vice President Kousar Shafeeq, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Manzoor Ahmad Qadri and other Dignitaries visited Government Degree College (GDC) Bandipora, where they inspect the facilities and review the moving development.

Principal, GDC Bandipora, Dr. Ghazla Firdaus welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the achievements and development of the institution since its inception.

MLA Bandipora, Nizam Uddin Bhat thanked the minister for his visit and raised major infrastructure demands including the need for the development of a separate library block, auditorium and college playfield. He insisted that world -class infrastructure is necessary for students to excel at globally.

In his address, the minister praised the beautiful place of the college, but noted the bad situation of the approach road, challenging it for both students and employees. He appreciated the nomination and efforts of the college administration. He assured that the government is actively addressing infrastructure issues in the education sector and directed the Director of Higher Education to start the development of a new library block and asked Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to perform beautification work on priority.

During an interactive session, students expressed concern about transport facilities, faculty deficiency and delay due to academic system. The minister assured that transport issues would be resolved, additional vehicles with drivers would be provided, and faculty replacement would be addressed immediately.

Later in the day, the minister, along with the MLA Bandipora, Sakeena iToo also held a public court -cum -conversation with the residents of Bandipora and heard public grievances and suggestions directly and assured to redress.

During the district tour, the minister handed over 27 retrofitted motorized motorized people to the eligible persons under the Social Welfare Department. He also distributed sponsorship benefits to the tune of rupee among various beneficiaries. 1.23 crore under Mission Vastalya. (KDC)
