“Kashmir ecological delicate, to take into account the convenience of passengers”

Speaking at the inauguration of Chenab Bridge by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 6 June on Wednesday, PDP leader Iltija Mufti said that more mindfulness towards Kashmir should be maintained as it was ecological delicate, further stated that the inauguration was developed as a development.

“This is a step that we should appreciate, but I would like to say that Kashmir is an ecological situation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on 6 June on 6 June for the inauguration of several projects including Jammu -Brij, Anji Bridge, and Vande Bharat vehicles flags.

According to an official release from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Chenab Bridge and will go to the bridge deck at around 11 am, according to his commitment to promote rail infrastructure and connectivity in the region. Subsequently, he will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate several development projects worth more than Rs 46,000 crore in Katra.

Architectural Marvel Chenab Rail Bridge, located at an altitude of 359 meters above the river, is the world’s highest railway arch bridge. It is a 1,315 m tall steel arc bridge which is an engineer to face seismic and air conditions. The bridge will have a major impact in increasing connectivity between Jammu and Srinagar.

Wande Bharat will take about 3 hours to travel between Katra and Srinagar, walking on the bridge through the train, will reduce the current journey time by 2-3 hours.

Fort Bridge is India’s first cable-state rail bridge which will serve the country in a challenging area.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate the Udhampur-Srinagar-Bermulla Rail Link (USBRL) project to the nation. The 272 km long USBRL project, which has been manufactured about Rs 43,780 crore, includes 36 tunnels (extending up to 119 km) and 943 bridges.

The project establishes all weather, spontaneous rail connectivity between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of the country, aiming to change regional mobility and run socio-economic integration.

The Prime Minister will also take two Vande Bharat Express trains to Srinagar and Srinagar from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. They will provide a sharp, comfortable and reliable travel option for residents, tourists and pilgrims.

In a major boost for final-meal connectivity, especially in the border areas, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone stone and inaugurated various road projects.

He will keep the foundation of the road wide project from Rafiabad to Kupwara on National Highway -701 and the Shopian bypass road on NH -444 at a price of more than Rs 1,952 crore. He will inaugurate two flyover projects on National Highway -1 in Srinagar and two flyover projects at Bemina Junction on National Highway -44. These projects will reduce the traffic congestion and increase the traffic flow for the passengers.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence in Katra worth more than Rs 350 crore. This will be the first medical college in the Rei district, which will contribute significantly to the Health Service infrastructure in the region.

In particular, this will be the first visit in the region after Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ – India’s exact attack on terrorist camps in Pakistan was launched on 7 May on 22 April in response to the Pahgam terror attack, in which 26 citizens were killed, mostly tourism. (AI)
