Officials said one person died in a road accident at Khumni Chowk in Bemina area of Srinagar on Friday evening.
An official said an accident occurred between a scooty and a vehicle near a water tank in Khumani Chowk, resulting in a scooty rider.
He identified the deceased as Ali Mohammad, son of GH Hasan, resident of Zadibal, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been lodged in the incident, while further investigation is underway.
Apart from this, MLA Zadibal, Tanveer Sadiq also expressed grief over the loss of life.
