According to a Health and Care Profession Council (HCPC) Tribunal Panel, he started an unexpectedly to start bleeding and making unfair comments about his genital area, after he started bleeding unexpectedly, he conducted a clinical examination of the student without his consent.

The panel found that Mr. Birdse’s behavior was “hunter in nature” and the Emergency gave him the opportunity to take advantage of the situation to get sexual satisfaction “.

The paramedic also kissed the student on his cheek and offered him to take him out for food and drink during the incident.

Mr. Birdse was suspended by the trust four days after the incident, and resigned from his role on 4 November 2019 after an internal investigation.

“Conduct was predetermined to this extent, he misused his professional position and was not isolated into nature.

“The latter medical emergency, which could not be rebuked, gave the registrar an opportunity to take advantage of the situation to get sexual satisfaction.”
