Drug pedaler arrested in Baramullah: Police

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the danger of drugs from the society, the police in Baramulla arrested a drug pedler and recovered the controversial substance from its possession.

A spokesman said that the police party of police station Sheeri arrested a drug pedal at a checkpoint installed at Zandfaran Link Road under the chairmanship of Shu PS Sheeri, who is identified with Abdul Rashid Sophie’s son Abid Rashid Sophie, who is a resident of Hewan Baramulla. During the search, 190 grams of a charas -like substance was recovered from its possession.

Accordingly, a case of FIR No. 30/2025 has been registered under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Sheeri and investigation has been started.

We urge the general public to report any example of drug pedaling or other criminal activities by dialing 112 at the nearest police station or 112. Your cooperation is necessary in our collective fight against drug threat. We assure the community that the police will continue to work strongly against such criminals according to the law.
