“Don’t be a fence-site, the fight against terrorism is for everyone”: JD (U )’s Sanjay Jha appeals for global support

Highlighting India’s fight against cross-border terrorism, JD (U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said on Friday that all-party delegations are visiting various countries of the world to make the global community aware of Pakistan-provided terrorism.

Jha was interacting with Ambassadors and Diplomats of Brazil, Australia, Colombia, Greece and South Korea in Tokyo, Japan.

Janata Dal (United) MPs, who are leading one of the seven all-party delegations, insisted that India is a victim of terrorism today, and it can be another country in the future.

Pointing to Islamabad’s involvement in cross -border terrorism, he further mentioned that Pakistan’s terrorists fund, train them and send them to India.

“We are going to different countries to make the world aware of the fact that it is India today and tomorrow you can be. So there is not a fence-site. The fight against terrorism is for everyone. We are representing our people; we are going to tell about terrorism across the border of Pakistan across the world.

He said, “Every terrorist activity in the world has some or other links in Pakistan, so this time our Prime Minister has also said that this is a new normal. It is enough … If anything happens to our citizens, we will come back; we will retaliate,” he said.

In the context of the relationship of his home state of Bihar with Buddhism, Jha said, “I come from the state of Bihar, where Buddhism is born. Buddhism is for ‘Ahimsa’ – for peace.”

Under the leadership of Sanjay Kumar Jha, an all-party parliamentary delegation from India is on a visit to Japan from 22 to 24 May.

On Thursday, the delegation met Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iveya. The delegation also met Yoshihide Suga, former Japanese Prime Minister and current vice-president of Liberal Democratic Party and President of Japan-India Association, as well as Takashi Endo, Chairman of Representative Committee on National Security. The official statement said that the two leaders confirmed Japan’s continuous support for India’s efforts against terrorism.

The Indian delegation also held a conversation with the leading Japanese think tank, briefing the participants on India’s zero tolerance policy on terrorism. The participants expressed strong support for India’s anti -terrorism stance during the discussion.

The all-party delegation projected India’s national consent and a firm approach to combat terrorism in all its forms and expressions. This will tell the world a strong message of zero tolerance for terrorism. (AI)
