Rahul Gandhi meets the families of the citizens killed in Pakistani shelling to visit Ponch on 24 May.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is expected to visit Ponch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (May 24), which recently meets the families of the families of citizens killed by Pakistan in cross -border firing, sources told ANI.

Earlier, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited both Poonch and Rajouri, stating that proper rehabilitation of the affected families is their top priority.

According to an official statement by Raj Bhavan, government jobs will be offered to the nearest families of the victims, and assistance will be provided to the families of the central government.

Apart from Poonach, Rajouri district has also been affected. Local people have damaged their homes and have lost their sources of livelihood due to shelling. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a pre -Rs 10 lakh Gratia for the next family members of those killed.

Lieutenant Governor Sinha has held several meetings with civil administration officials, police and local residents to assess the situation. He said that a rehabilitation package for the victims will soon be approved by the Central Government.

Sinha said, “A need is being felt for the bunkers. New bunkers will be constructed so that the people of Jammu and Kashmir can be safe.”

On 9 May, the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) strongly condemned Pakistan to deliberately target civil infrastructure including schools and places of worship. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri criticized Pakistan for attacking religious places along the Line of Control (LOC), allowing the strike “a new to Pakistan.”

According to Mea, a shell fired by Pakistan killed the house of two Christ School students in Poonach.

Sahib Mahant Saab Ji Gurudwara’s chief gland brother Surendra Singh also confirmed the loss to religious places.

Talking to Annie, brother Surendra Singh said, “It was not done by the Indian Army; it was actually firing from Pakistan. Gurudwaras, mosques and temples were damaged, and we also had casualties. A teacher who was teaching children. Pakistan was killed on our city, people’s homes, and even our gurds were killed.”

India launched Operation Sindor on 7 May on 22 April “barbaric” Pahalgan terrorist attack, claiming the lives of 26 people including Nepali National.
