Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelansky expressed his gratitude to the UK Prime Minister Kir Stmper following the new UK sanctions on Russia, as Zelancesi believes that it will help Moscow under pressure towards peace.

During a call with the UK PM, Zelancesi emphasized the need for a coordinated international response, also urged the US to take strong action against Russia to support a ceasefire against Russia and ongoing diplomatic efforts for permanent peace in Ukraine.

“I talked to the UK Prime Minister Kir Stmper. I thanked him for the new British sanctions, which help Russia to pressurize peace. Only will we work forcibly. Today we have a decision of a ban from the UK, as well as the European Union, and it would be good if the United States also helped,” said the Ukrainian President.

Earlier on Tuesday, the UK and the European Union (EU) unveiled the Russian economy, shade oil fleet and new sanctions that targets military supply chains.

The European Union adopted a package of its 17th and most comprehensive sanctions, while the UK imposed 100 new sanctions including financial institutions and military suppliers.

The European Council adopted the 17th package of economic and individual restrictive measures, cutting out access to Russia’s major military technology.

Meanwhile, according to a statement by the UK’s foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Financial Institutions also targeted financial institutions, helping Russia’s military machines, the latest restrictions supporting the Energy Export and Information War, as well as the invasion of Putin of Ukraine and inhibiting the supply of deadly Russian weapons, including the Iskander missiles.

The UK sanctions also targeted 14 more members of the Social Design Agency (SDA), which meets the Kremlin-Christian-funded information operations that are designed to reduce Ukraine and worldwide sovereignty, democracy and law.

Restrictions also target 46 financial institutions that help to get russian efforts out of restrictions, as well as St. Petersburg currency exchange and Russian deposit insurance agency, which insure Russian banks.
