Leaders paid tribute to Addc Rajouri killed in Pakistani shelling

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Chaudhary and Leader of Opposition (LOP) Sunil Sharma paid tribute to Additional District Development Commissioner (Addc) Raj Kumar Thapa on Sunday, who were killed in Pakistani shelling in Rajouri a day earlier.

Deputy Chief Minister Chaudhary, Lop Sharma and other local officials were present during the funeral of Addc Thapa in Rajouri.

“He was martyred for the strength of the country. He will always be remembered by the nation,” said Deputy CM Chaudhary during the ceremony.

In a recent post of US President Donald Trump, Chaudhary said, “For this, the Government of India spokesperson has given his statement. People have always supported the nation’s army.”

Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma described Thapa as “a dedicated and honest officer, whose duty is still popular today.”

Sharma said, “He was doing his duty yesterday. We pray that he received the grace of God and his family gets strength in this grief.”

He said that India “brought Pakistan to his knees” under Operation Sindoor.

He said, “As avenging this loss, the Indian armed forces have brought Pakistan to their knees. According to the strategy, Pakistan’s air defense, airports and military installations were destroyed as a part of Operation Sindoor,” he said.

Commenting on international reactions, Lop Sharma said, “Our Foreign Ministry has said that there is no need for intervention of a third country. When two countries are fighting, other countries make a effort on humanitarian grounds. Pakistan is begging to other countries.”

He said that India had temporarily stopped Operation Sindoor.

Civil areas in Rajouri district of Jammu suffered losses due to fire by Pakistan. A series of explosions damaged many houses and properties throughout the region, causing nervousness among the residents. According to local people, smoke increased after loud explosions in Rajouri.
