In a post on X, Kharge wrote, “Letter to PM Sri Sri requested a special session of Parliament to discuss a special session of Parliament, to discuss the Pahgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor and the Charism announcements before and later by the governments of India and Pakistan to discuss the Washington DC.”
Meanwhile, Congress leader Supriya Shrinet also demanded a Parliament session on a series of events between India and Pakistan.
Shrinet further stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should tell the opposition how the end of enmity was announced by US President Donald Trump.
“The Congress party demands that a Parliament session should be called, and the PM should tell about the entire range of events to the opposition and Parliament, and also how the ceasefire was declared by the US President and the way America is talking parallel to both Indians and Pakistan,” said Shri.
He said, “PM and BJP will have to explain why America is interfering in our internal affairs.”
The Congress leader also questioned whether the Shimla agreement has been canceled, further said that Kashmir was from India and no one will be allowed to intervene in it.
“The Secretary of State says that the two countries will meet in a neutral place. Does this mean that the Shimla agreement has been canceled? The US President is saying that I will mediate in the Kashmir issue. But, Kashmir is an integral part of India, and we will never allow it to intervene,” he said. (AI)
