After a significant reduction, the water level in the Chenab River in Akhanur increases

Following the announcements made by the local police and administration, the water level of the Chenab River in Akhanur has increased.

Views of the region show a significant increase in the water level in the river.

It should be noted that the water level in the Chenab river in the Akhanur region of Jammu and Kashmir was reduced significantly on Monday morning, after closing the gates in Baglihar and Salal dams.

A local Kalyan Singh said, “Earlier, the Chenab River flowed at a height of 25-30 feet, but now there is barely 1.5-2 feet of water left. This is to hold the Indus Waters Treaty due to PM Modi’s decision … We do not want a single drop of water to stand with Pakistan.

Another local shocked a huge change in water levels in the Chenab River in the Akhanur region of the region.

“In my 75 years of life, for the first time I have seen such a small amount of water in the chainb, I thank PM Modi for taking this decision. I am surprised by the witness of a huge change in the water level of the river, one-time filled with a bar, which is now barely 1-1.5 feet water … We are standing with the Indian Army.”
