Kulgam, May 02: A felicitation ceremony was held at Bugam, Kulgam of Higher Secondary School to honor outstanding academic recipients. The main attraction of the incident was the recognition of Sehish Jahangir, a student of class 12 of the institution, who finished second in the science stream in the Union region of Jammu and Kashmir.

The ceremony was done by Director of School Education, Kashmir, Dr. Gun was performed by Itu, who implicated Seshish Jahangir for his extraordinary performance. Dr. Itu also congratulated the students, their parents and teachers for their hard work and success in class 10th and 12th examinations, resulting in the results of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE).

In his address, Dr. Itu said that the Education Department has implemented the National Education Policy 2020 and has taken several initiatives to modernize schooling, of which the establishment of ICT laboratories is particularly notable. He said that aligning the education system with contemporary demands is the top priority of the state government.

On the occasion, Chief Education Officer Kulgam, Mohammad Shabir welcomed the director and expressed that his presence had greatly encouraged successful students, teachers and officials of the area across the district. He also informed the Director on the overall academic scenario of the district and mentioned that the educational services are being fully upgraded as per the guidance of the director.

Dr. Itu while addressing the gathering, appreciated the efforts of students and faculty, emphasizing the importance of dedication, hard work and quality education in shaping the future of the region.

The incident ended with applause and a round of appreciation for the young man, in which Sehish Jahangir was serving as an inspiration for his comrades and juniors. (KDC)
